Last week's veggies pics in the gallery were so popular, we added some more. Check them out.
The drawings came about through a collaboration between the CSA and Urban River Arts (URA), a community based (501c3) art center located in Crown Heights Brooklyn. URA set up outside the pick-up with the week's fruit and vegetables set up on a table. Everyone was welcome to stop for a few minutes and make a drawing of -- carrots with their tops, cucumbers cut open, eggplants, peaches, squash blossoms and more!

Some info from URA:
Urban River Arts (URA) is a community based (501c3) art center located in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Through individual and group activities that honor creative expression and through partnerships with educational organizations in the neighborhood URA has put down strong roots in the community with projects and ongoing art classes that have created the opportunity for people of all ages, and from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds to participate in low cost and free dynamic visual arts programming.
At URA we believe that the process of making, seeing and talking about works of art guides us to open our hearts to understand ourselves more deeply and how we relate to the world. Through the arts, students practice and learn core values: self-responsibility, civic, social and environmental responsibility, respect, truthfulness, compassion and courage. Students build self-confidence, verbal and social skills, and the ability to express and communicate their deepening understanding of the world through the arts.
