Compost in your kitchen! How to build your own worm bin. Aug 10.

August 6, 2010

Come to the Crown Heights CSA composting workshop! Drop by anytime, 5-7pm on Tuesday August 10th. We'll be at Launchpad, 721 Franklin Avenue. Read on for details of what to bring.

Worm bins are a non-stinky, minimally gross way to reduce your contribution to the landfill by turning vegetable scraps into rich soil. They are small enough to fit under your kitchen sink, and are really easy to make! Come by any time between 5 and 7, and make one for yourself. If you feel like making a donation to the further the CSA's composting projects, that would be lovely.

You should bring:
-- 2 dark colored plastic bins, like Rubbermaid totes, that can stack inside each other. They should be about 24"x18"x18".
-- A newspaper.

RSVP (appreciated!) to Alanna at news@crownheightscsa.org
